Sophia Script for Windows, version 8.0.0

Sophia Script is a PowerShell module with more than 150 functions that debloat, configure and harden Windows 10 and Windows 11. It only uses methods Microsoft documents, and every tweak has a matching function that puts the default setting back. The whole project is open source, and the release archives are built automatically by GitHub Actions.

How to use it

1. Run the command from the install box above. The archive lands in your Downloads folder, already extracted.
2. Open Sophia.ps1 in a text editor. Put a # in front of a function to skip it, or remove the # to run it.
3. Open an elevated PowerShell (Terminal) in that folder.
4. Allow scripts for this session only:

Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope Process -Force
.\Sophia.ps1

Functions can also be called one at a time. After importing the module, press TAB to complete names:

PowerShell 7 builds are provided for Windows 10 and 11, and Arm64 builds for Windows 11.

Does Sophia Script conflict with anti-cheat like VAC?

No. Sophia Script does not touch anything that conflicts with VAC, and the project states this explicitly in its documentation.

What changed in version 8.0.0?

Large code refactoring, improved localizations, updated CI/CD scripts and bug fixes. Note that the DNSoverHTTPS Wikimedia preset was removed and the Uninstall-UWPApps argument changed from ForAllUsers to AllUsers, so re-apply the script after updating.
